Meet Alexis…

How long have you been with TDG?

I’ve been with TDG for over 2 and a half years. I’ll hit my 3-year mark in September – time flies!

What does your typical workday look like?

A typical workday consists of lots of multitasking. I usually have several tabs open both on my computer and in my brain. This is fueled with an oat milk latte – or a few. Most days, I am working through creative briefs, hopping on calls with clients, and reviewing creative work! Each day can look a little different, and that’s one of the things I love about my job.

What is the most challenging part of your job?

One of the most challenging parts of my job can be managing shifting trends in the world of marketing. It’s important to stay up-to-date on the latest trends and adjust client strategies accordingly. This can involve researching the competitive landscape, understanding our client’s customer demographics and preferences, and staying ahead of the curve in terms of emerging trends.

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

Bringing a client’s vision to life. It’s rewarding seeing a project from the initial concept to creation. I am proud to be part of a team that produces such incredible work. Building trusting relationships with clients is rewarding as they are trusting me with their strategic and creative solutions. This is something I don’t take for granted!

What do you like to do outside of work?

My living situation has changed recently, impacting how I spend my time outside of work. I recently moved from Paris, Ontario, and headed to the mountains in Grande Cache, Alberta. Outside of work, if the weather permits, I love spending time at the lake relaxing and listening to music. It’s a great way to wind down after a busy day. My partner and I often bring our dog along as he loves to swim! I won’t get too ahead of myself, but I would love to hike a few mountains here as well.

Aside from the outdoors, you can also find me binge-watching a new series. Is being a couch potato considered a hobby? I hope so. What’s a good series without a delicious meal to go with it? I’ve also been working on my cooking skills and trying new recipes. I’m no Gordon Ramsay but I can make a mean burger!
