Today, we turn the spotlight onto one of our invaluable team members, who has been weaving magic into designs for the past year and a half with us. Ankit started with TDG after we had become a completely remote company. Join us as we explore a day in the life of this design dynamo whose work ethic and creative brilliance make him the perfect addition to our team.
How long have you been with TDG?
I have been with TDG for a wonderful 1.5 years in a fully remote working environment.
What does your typical workday look like?
My typical day starts with checking Hive to prioritize tasks based on deadlines and project timelines, then I start with some of the easier design projects to get me in the creative zone. After that I move on to larger projects like websites, flyers, posters, project packages, etc., having a few tabs open for trending updates and inspirations.
What is the most challenging part of your job?
Balancing personal creativity while meeting client expectations can become quite challenging. The fast-paced world of marketing requires you to maintain quality even when facing tight deadlines. Overcoming all these challenges is what makes designing more fulfilling.
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
Witnessing a project evolve from a rough sketch to a problem-solving real-world design is one of the most rewarding parts of the job. Also, watching how your designs shape the identity of a brand is satisfying. Being able to bounce ideas off coworkers, learn from the people you work with, and receive positive feedback for your work is a huge bonus.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I enjoy going on walks, exploring new places when it is possible, and I love reading. When I am not doing those things, I usually enjoy gaming or finding something ‘puzzly’ to do.
Final thoughts from Ankit…
I am very grateful and love being part of this fantastic team environment. TDG provides the best work-life balance. I have learned a lot from the leadership here as well as my fellow teammates. I will always look for opportunities where I can help promote growth at TDG.
