In the most recent months, TDG Marketing has seen a lot of growth, not just in clients, but our team really stepped things up and brought our work to a whole new level. What lets us say YES to big projects, new industries, and everything else in between? It’s our people!
So, without further ado….
Meet Brian – Lead Graphic Designer – A.K.A The Comic Relief
How long have you been with TDG?
It’s been a while. I’ve been with TDG for 9 years now in a couple of different roles.
What does your typical workday look like?
My day is generally comprised of mostly design work: working on website designs, flyers, and any other projects that come my way. The rest of my day is spent providing feedback and guidance to the other designers to help keep our designs on-brand and top-quality.
What is the most challenging part of your job?
The most challenging part of my job is describing some of the more nuanced design-based enhancements that we can make to the work we produce. Art is very subjective, and sometimes providing helpful feedback can take a lot of language mastery to best describe how and why a revision may be beneficial.
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
It's always rewarding to hear a client's positive feedback on a design. Looking good is what's important to us designers, so having a client get excited about the new coat of paint we've given them is an uplifting and reassuring bonus.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I enjoy expressing my creativity in writing and performing music. I have a couple of groups that I jam with regularly. When I'm not doing this, I'm unwinding by watching hockey or playing some video games.
Final thoughts from Brian…
I'm committed to constant growth in my technical understanding of graphic design, and I enjoy bringing the rest of the TDG team along on my learning path. As a whole, the TDG team keeps getting better, and I'm glad to be a part of that.
