PROJECT BACKGROUND

Building on the success of the 2024 Spark Joy with Hockey campaign, ECS extended the Spark Joy theme into 2025, shifting the focus to golf to better align with the target audience’s strong interest in the sport. The primary objective of the campaign was to strengthen ECS’s brand presence and remain top of mind for customers seeking electrical wire and cable solutions.

By connecting ECS’s products and services with the audience’s enthusiasm for golf, the campaign aimed to create a memorable brand experience and differentiate ECS in a competitive market. ECS partnered with Service Wire to highlight their Bare Copper cable products and RW90 / RWU90 XLP Single Conductor products. ECS vendors also contributed to the campaign in exchange for product exposure, with vendor logos featured across all campaign materials.

SOLUTION

The Spark Joy with Golf campaign included a refreshed campaign logo to reflect the golf theme, along with coordinated email blasts, LinkedIn posts, and a direct mailer featuring interactive pull tabs. Recipients of the direct mailer were invited to pull a tab to reveal their prize, which included items such as a solar-powered golf cart speaker, golf ball shot glasses, or an all-expenses-paid round of golf with the ECS team. On LinkedIn and through the email campaign, users were directed to a giveaway landing page where they could enter by submitting their contact information for a chance to win a $250 Golf Town or Amazon gift card. While the direct mailer was distributed to a targeted customer list, the landing page was open to the broader ECS network, providing both engagement and lead capture opportunities.

RESULTS

The campaign successfully reinforced ECS’s brand presence while engaging both targeted and broader customer audiences. By leveraging a theme aligned with the audience’s interests and creating multiple touchpoints (direct mail, digital, and social media), ECS strengthened its customer relationships and maintained visibility for key products in a competitive market.


The interactive direct mailer and digital components provided opportunities for vendor exposure and lead capture, ensuring the campaign delivered both brand recognition and measurable engagement.
