As 2024 comes to a close, it feels like we blinked and the year flew by. If we had to sum up the past 12 months in one word, it would be busy — or maybe caffeinated. (Let’s just say the coffee machines earned their keep.)

At TDG Marketing, we’ve spent the year building, brainstorming, and buzzing with ideas. From our remote desks (and sometimes international destinations), we powered through creative challenges, cranked out exceptional work, and managed to sneak in a few extra snack breaks along the way.

Let’s take a look back at 2024 — by the numbers and the moments that made it memorable.

24 Years Strong in 2024

This year, TDG celebrated 24 years in business, and we’re prouder than ever of the incredible team behind the scenes. Our 15 talented team members tackled projects for 24 amazing managed programs and countless clients, pushing the limits of creativity every single day.

The best part? We did it all while enjoying the perks (and quirks) of remote work. Sure, there were some days we stayed in our PJs, but with a 15-second commute from bed to desk, who could blame us? Plus, working remotely saved us about 4,500 litres of gas — a win for our wallets and the environment.

The Remote Work Chronicles

Working from home isn’t always smooth sailing. Real talk? Sometimes things went sideways:

  • 36 internet outages (always at the worst times — thanks, WiFi!).
  • 187 times someone talked while still on mute.
  • 260 loads of multitasking laundry folded between emails.
  • 783 extra snack breaks (fuel for the creative fire, right?).

Despite these little hiccups, we got the job done. Scratch that — we crushed it:

  • 73 photo and video shoots.
  • 4 websites launched.
  • A whopping 27,199 Hive actions completed.
  • And let’s not forget Carly, our unofficial productivity MVP, for completing the most Hive tasks.

Social Media Wins (and a Little Doomscrolling)

In 2024, we turned our TikTok scroll time into strategy time. The results?

  • 178% increase in TikTok followers.
  • Over 782,000 views on our content.
  • A total of 51,765 interactions.

And we didn’t stop at our own feeds — we helped our clients grow, too. Across the board, our clients’ social followings increased by 8,178. Now that’s something worth double-tapping.

Caffeine, Calendars, and Milestones

Our Google Calendars worked just as hard as we did this year — sometimes a little too hard. With 261 meetings that probably could have been emails, we leaned heavily on our caffeine lifeline:

  • 6,935 cups of coffee and tea kept Team TDG running (and yes, we counted…well estimated?).

But it wasn’t all work. We made time to celebrate milestones and our amazing team:

  • Brian and Mandy hit 10 years with TDG (huge congrats!).
  • Together, we bring 78 years of collective experience to the table.
  • And while we kept the creative ideas flowing, we also managed to crack 364 bad jokes — quality may vary, but quantity? Impressive.

Work From Anywhere: The Highlights

The beauty of remote work? You can literally work from anywhere — and this year, we did. From Florida to India to Italy (gelato-fuelled WiFi included), we embraced the work-from-anywhere lifestyle and delivered results, no matter the location.

And let’s not forget the other stars of the remote work experience. We had:

  • 23 messages sent by cats stepping on keyboards.
  • 468 surprise pet cameos in video calls. They may not be on the payroll, but they certainly made their presence known.

We Work Hard, But We Play Too

At TDG, we know how important it is to make time for fun — and for each other. This year, we came together for some unforgettable team moments:

  • Pottery painting.
  • Our annual picnic.
  • An all-staff meeting.
  • And our Client Services Pitch Perfect event.

From creative brainstorms to our Christmas party, we balanced the work with plenty of laughter (and delicious food).
