A few years ago, TDG was a marketing agency like many others, operating out of a downtown office building in Brantford. We thrived in that environment, working closely together and enjoying the energy that came from face-to-face collaboration. But as the world and the way we work began to change, so did we.
The Shift to Remote and a New Leadership Vision
In 2020, we embraced the opportunity to go fully remote, giving our team the flexibility to work from anywhere. This change wasn’t just about location—it gave us the chance to rethink how we worked together, how we connected as a team, and how we could better support each other in a new, evolving landscape.
At the same time, a fresh leadership team emerged, committed to shaping TDG’s future and nurturing a culture that reflected our values. It was clear that this moment was about more than just adapting to remote work—it was about creating an environment where our people could thrive and where our values could truly shine.
Building a Culture of Connection and Empowerment
As we navigated this transition, we learned that culture isn’t about where you work, but how you work together. It’s about behaviour, trust, and creating an environment where everyone feels empowered to do their best work. We wanted to make sure every team member felt connected, appreciated, and supported.
Our leadership team took part in courses that deepened our understanding of company culture and employee engagement. What we learned became the foundation of how we now approach our day-to-day operations. We focused on making sure our team had the resources they needed to succeed – from the right tools to uninterrupted work time – all while fostering creativity and collaboration.

One of the most important steps in shaping our culture was defining our core values. We took the time to think about what truly mattered to us as a team and as a company.
